ScienTra participates in the development of five Local Urban Planning Projects (LUPPs) across different regions of Greece, contributing to the planning of sustainable, safe, and efficient transportation systems under the national “Konstantinos Doxiadis” programme of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The company’s involvement focuses on providing specialized transport and traffic engineering services, aiming to integrate modern mobility solutions into the spatial planning proposals for the areas under study.
As part of these projects, ScienTra is responsible for, among others:
- analysing existing traffic conditions,
- developing road network organization proposals,
- recommending measures to improve road safety,
- promoting sustainable mobility and active transportation,
- enhancing accessibility and the overall performance of the transport system.
Local Urban Planning Projects constitute Greece’s primary strategic spatial planning tool, shaping the long-term development of local communities with an emphasis on sustainability, resilience, and quality of life.
