Vasiliki (Vasia) Ambrasi is a Civil – Transportation Engineer at ScienTra Consulting Engineers Private Company (www.scientra.gr) and a researcher in the Research Group of Transport Systems of A.U.Th. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from A.P.Th. and the MSc “Design, Organization and Management of Transport Systems”. She has been awarded with two official distinctions of excellence, the most important being the full scholarship from the Onassis Foundation for her postgraduate studies within the above interdisciplinary study program.
She has 4 years of experience in the implementation and management of projects and studies related to transport and mobility at European and National level. She has participated in a total of 5 research projects, in 2 of which she was the project manager, while she has also contributed to the development of electric vehicle charging plans, the formulation of road safety strategies, as well as the writing of funding proposals.
Driven by continuous personal and professional development, she has taken part in various seminars on, among others, more effective project management, optimal service design, leadership development in which she was selected as the coordinator of working group of the 7-day project, etc.
To date, she has published 13 scientific papers which include 6 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book volumes, 3 full papers in refereed conference proceedings, and 4 papers in refereed conference proceedings. She has presented as a speaker at more than 7 scientific conferences, while she has been responsible for the organization of more than 4 days/evenings for transportation with guests from Greece and abroad.
She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), the Association of Greek Transport Engineers (SES), and the Association of Onassis Foundation Scholars.
