The scope of the project is the systematic recording, analysis, and evaluation of the interventions implemented in the field of transport infrastructure within the framework of the Thessaly Regional Operational Programme (ROP) 2014–2020.
This evaluation aims to assess the degree to which the programme’s objectives have been achieved, to investigate the actual impacts of the implemented interventions, and to draw well-documented conclusions that can support the design of future policies and actions.
The main actions include:
- Recording and delineation of transport infrastructure actions and projects implemented in the Region of Thessaly
- Development and application of an impact assessment methodological framework
- Collection and processing of primary and secondary data (administrative data, indicators, questionnaires)
- Assessment of the impacts of the interventions in terms of accessibility, connectivity, road safety, and socio-economic parameters
- Analysis of cause–effect relationships and investigation of cumulative impacts
- Synthesis of findings and formulation of proposals and recommendations to improve the planning and implementation of similar interventions in the next programming period
